Laminate floors are extremely durable and wear resistant. Easy
installation, quick and simple cleaning. Laminate is sold in planks
that are glued or snapped together and can be layed over most other
existing floors (excluding carpet).

The Clean up
Easy and like hardwoods, the finish hides a lot. Laminate cleaning
products are easily available.
VERY IMPORTANT INFO ON CLEANING LAMINATE FLOORS: Do NOT use anything except what the manufacturer recommends on these floors. DO not use excessive water. Do Not use cleaners from the supermarkets as they will leave a residue that will dull your floor. We highly recommend a product called Woodpecker. It comes separately or with a mop kit and terry bonnets; you just spray it on the floor and wipe it with the terry mop. There is no residue and no dulling of the floor. When the terry bonnet is dirty, just throw it in the washer and use the second one in the kit. We keep this stocked and you can use this product for hardwood floors as well.
